Frequently Asked Questions
-
Supper Commons is a membership-based subscription service that connects nearby families to share the work of cooking. Members are matched with two other households to form a Supper Group. Each family cooks one meal a week and delivers it to the others. In return, you receive two home-cooked dinners from your group. That means you cook once —but eat three wholesome, homemade meals every week.

Memberships are $36 a month, plus a one-time joining fee of $54. You can save money by paying annually and get one month free!
Membership includes professional matching to a Supper Group, a thermal storage bag and food storage containers, and access to the Commons, our exclusive app and online community.

When you become a member, we’ll ask you some questions about your household size, dietary needs, grocery budget, cooking style, and schedules. We’ll then match you with a family with a similar lifestyle. That makes the experience safe, easy, and fun.
-
Food safety is a top concern. When you become a member, we will ask about dietary restrictions. Families with strict needs due to allergies or illness (e.g., celiac or diabetes) will only be matched with families in a similar circumstance. This ensures that all families in the supper group are familiar with the required protocols and know how to prepare meals safely.
-
The family that prepares the food delivers the meals. Groups will be able to communicate through the Supper Commons app to inform each other of schedule changes. Each family will also receive a cooler bag filled with storage containers. The bag will keep the food hot or cold, as needed, so that food can be left on a porch or agreed-upon location.

Being part of Supper Commons means joining a community built on trust and shared responsibility. Each member is asked to sign a community agreement when they join. This includes openly communicating with your Supper Group about any schedule changes, meal preferences, or other important updates.
We’ll send reminders and notifications when it’s your turn to cook, so no one accidentally misses a meal. However, if a member is not meeting their group commitments or isn’t a good fit for their Supper Group, we reserve the right to remove them. In those cases, we’ll do our best to find a new match and work with the existing members to ensure a smooth transition and positive experience for everyone.
